Aviation Day in West Virginia

Wednesday marked the first ever Aviation Day at the West Virginia State Capitol.

HQ Aero Management (US) Inc., as a proud member of the WVAMA, was asked to attend the ceremony. There were 21 tables set up, representing various airports and aviation companies throughout the state.

The goal for the occasion is to remind lawmakers of the economic impact airports and aviation have in the State today.

The ceremony started with a presentation of the Legislative Citation presented by members of the House, then moved onto the Senate vote on Senate Resolution 47, naming February 21st as Aviation Day in the state of WV. Several State Senators performed the presentation of the Senate Citation to the WVAMA. The ceremony ended that day in the Governors briefing room with the Proclamation from Governor Jim Justice.
